Why I will to vote for Trump, Hmmmm?

Yes, I am going to vote for Trump.  Let me tell you first why the hmmmm?  To give my vote to Trump did not come easy, in fact, he was probably 3rd or 4th on my list of 17 candidates.  But there are a few items that gave me pause.  I cannot defend his mocking of the movements of a handicapped person, inflicted with symptoms that are not always easy to look at.  I believe those who are handicapped in the world deserve all the love and respect that we can give them and help provide every opportunity possible for them to live as normal and as productive of a life as possible.  With that being said, this person was a reporter and it is my understanding pretty sharp, especially when it comes to writing articles, firing questions and poking at Trump’s campaign.  Conveniently he played possum or ignorant when Trump fired questions back or confronted him.  That of course, was fair.  Again, I am not defending Trump’s animation of the movements  and symptoms that were uncontrollable by this reporter and there is no excuse that Trump could give me that would justify the mocking.

The inference that Trump made in the Indiana primary as it concerned Ted Cruz’s father being part of the Lee Harvey Oswald/Kennedy assassination conspiracy was flat out stupid.  The unforced error is unexplainable, unreasonable and unnecessary.  Any and all backlash from that useless comment is deserved.  Especially since it was an “Enquirer” article and pictures, that have never been proven to have any validity or substantiated.

I have taken issue with some of the minor or menial fights, comments that he chooses to engage in.  Labeling and branding his opponents has been at times hard to embrace.  Tit for tat and engaging in school yard bickering, I certainly would like to see less of.  But, in a partial defense of that, branding, labeling and defending is part of competition in his business background and nature.  Some could look at it as detrimental if he were to do this as president.  Others could say the drive, the fight and defending and protecting our country would be an asset, but of course, he and his team would have to prioritize and dismiss some of the battles that he will need and not need to engage in.  Of course, there are a few more that should be noted that I have considered too.  The Megan Kelley comment and some comments as to protesters could be hard to defend.  I remember in the late 90’s while my boys were teenagers, having to redefine that oral sex was truly part of a sexual relationship.  The Clinton Whitehouse was hard to defend at that point too.

I mentioned these items so that there is no misunderstanding that I have thought this through and have not closed my eyes or ears when it comes to the rhetoric and the message that he sends.

Why will Trump get my vote?  Here are things that I do support and that are unique in some areas to today’s political world and for the past political worlds that we have grown up in.  First and foremost, I believe in putting America first.  When we put America first, not only does this country benefit substantially, but the world parasitically benefits too.  I am not a big fan of the globalization direction that we are heading.  Of course, we will have to think globally but not by sacrificing our borders, our principals and our security for this nation.

The recent Brexit from Europe is a key and a prime example of what we could be facing in the next presidency over the next 4 to 8 years.  England’s concerns have been lived and realized.  They gave it a shot.  They practiced it for many, many years and yet, they wanted out.  I feel that they did not want to lose their country, it’s principles or the safety of it’s people.  They were being controlled by other countries in Europe who did not have the same ideas when it came to immigration and in part, trade, employment and it’s unions.

Although Obama did his best to influence another country’s election for his idea of globalization, they rejected it.  The liberal media spread it’s rhetoric as to fears of a global market disaster.  Because of those fears, yes, for a few days the market reacted but not so long or so much as to hold back the record breaking highs that the US has experienced recently in it’s markets.

I also believe that the US must have borders that are enforced.  Whether it be a wall or whether it be the newest and best technology used at the borders or a combination of any solutions that stops illegal immigration, I am in favor of.  Simple metaphors that have been used before are ideal in breaking this concern down to it’s simplest form “I lock my doors at home and all that come to my house must knock on the door.  They must tell me who they are and then I decide to let them in or not”.  This can be applied in many ways and for many examples.  In our recent political conventions RNC/DNC the same principles were applied by ID’s, a guarded presence and extreme skepticism on who was entering each hall, each day, to make sure that those who might do harm, could not do harm.

In the 80’s, Reagan gave amnesty to several million illegal immigrants in our country, with an assurance that the borders would be closed and well protected.  Although legal status was given to the illegal immigrants, every congress and senate and president since then has forgotten protecting the borders.  This is the fault of all.

Today, the issue of illegal immigration is of greater concern since the 80’s and before.  I do believe that there are bad players in the world.  Radical Islam/ISIS, Al Queda, countries that would like to see harm done to our country and radicalism of all kinds throughout the world could not have a bigger stage than terrorizing the US.  Our borders are too porous.  This is not a Hispanic issue, this is an issue of not knowing who is coming in through our borders.  The liberal media and the left continue to call this immigration and use past immigration as examples of prosperity and building our country.  But, we are not naive.  The majority of that immigration was legal.  My concern is the illegal immigration and not knowing who comes into the country now.  For anyone to say that it is not reasonable to suggest that we should know who comes here and their background and who is here illegally and their background, has an agenda or a different agenda as to our security and our way of life.  As a sidenote, I am not suggesting to put 15 to 20 million people on buses and deport them, I am suggesting that we first close the borders and make everybody knock on the door.  Then I am suggesting that we find out who is here and if they are acceptable and have not committed a crime here or in their country or have ties to radical ideas that are not consistent with our constitution and way of life,  give them a pathway to LEGAL STATUS (deportation is a stand and starting point, it is Trump’s way of negotiating where I think he will end up)  I believe that Trump is more in line with those thoughts than Hillary Clinton and the liberal left.

I support law and order.  Of course, I support blue lives, black lives and I will not be politically correct or shamed into saying only, “Black lives matter”.  I believe, “ALL lives matter”. I believe that there is a tremendous amount of propaganda being spread on all sides of this issue.  There is a whole blog to be written about the misinformation that comes from those who have agendas to be achieved at the expense of the lives that have been lost already as it relates to this issue.

I believe that Trump’s understanding of business and the free enterprise system, will be helpful in bettering free trade but fair trade.  I believe that he will surround himself by those who have been successful and prospered in technology, manufacturing and science.  I believe that he will call upon the nations best entrepreneurs to help with protecting our secrets, updating our computers and providing technology that will not only protect the US but lead us in dealing with the globalization of our economy and dealing with the world’s crises but holding to the values that I mentioned earlier.

In addition, I believe that he is truly serious and has the experience to update and improve our infra-structure (well over due).  I believe that these contracts and these needs will be negotiated and awarded to the best bids and the best companies to do the job.  I believe that this is truly an area that he has an expertise in.

I know that his corporate bankruptcies have been an issue and of course something that needs to be considered as to his abilities.  I believe that he has 3 or 4 corporate bankruptcies that he was able to legally do and did hurt companies in the process.  Amazingly, no one required his personal signature or guarantees.  However, in comparison, name me a government agency that has ever done anything on budget.  We are almost $20 trillion dollars in debt.  Compared to the amount of what a business’s average debt is when it goes into bankruptcy and including personal bankruptcies, $19 trillion dollars would equal several million times the government has gone into bankruptcy.  So career politicians and liberal left get off the bankruptcy train as to his ability in business.  Imagine if all who went into bankruptcy corporate and personal could print money to pay their debt, well, that accounts for $20 trillion dollars.

We know and we, as a people, understand the liberal bias as it concerns news agencies, newspapers, etc.  Of course they are upset that many of their hidden agendas are now being disclosed more than ever before, but how about this one.  Trump is just about even in the polls with Hillary, however, Trump has spent a fraction of what she spends now and what she will spend in the future for the presidency.  He has cut out the millions and millions of dollars spent on advertising for commercial time, newspaper ads and radio.  He is not contributing to the medias bottom line.  When you take away more than half the ad buys given to the media during the 2 year cycle and the 4 year presidential cycle, he is costing them billions.  And of course, not taking much of the lobbyist money of large corporations, etc., has everyone in an uproar.  But yet, he is within the margin of error to become the next president of the USA.

Keeping the bad players and countries in the Middle East guessing and off balance is a good thing! Asking for allies and NATO to pay their fair share, is only right and fair. We can’t afford to pay for the world’s protection. Are they only our ally or friends because we pay for everything? He will need the best advisors we have to offer, as it concerns foreign affairs.  I believe strongly because of his business background that he will surround himself by the best.  The generals and the advisors who now support Hillary are betting that Hillary will win.  If Trump becomes president, they will all support him 100 percent and be looking for jobs in his administration without hesitation.

We do need to update our military. Our veterans have been promised decent healthcare and mental health services and we have delivered little. I believe, he will fulfill past promises of others and hold government workers accountable (government agencies ran more like a business).

Yes, he will need to work with others. He will need to list the 5-10 most important issues we now face.  For the first time, lay this out to the American people as a first year agenda. He will need to challenge the House and Senate to work together and compromise on solutions and send these Bills to his desk for approval! At the next State of the Union address, he will present an update of what was achieved or not achieved from that list and ask the America people to grade the first year he was in office.  If he vetoes a bill, it is on him.  If he is not presented with these 5 to 10 bills, it will be on the House and the Senate.  Lay it out and expose it to us and change the do nothing Congress.

One thing is clear with Trump’s arrival, it is not the status quo.  He is making many in the old establishment on both sides of the aisle, very nervous.  We have always said, “the system is fixed”, but today, it has never been more clear on how rigged the system really is.    We have seen what making history in the presidency can do for our country.  Electing the first black president was a tremendous, historical accomplishment.  But I do not believe if you ask black’s and other minorities has their lives improved because he was the first black president that they could honestly answer yes.  We must not make the same historical misstep by electing the first woman president simply because she is the first woman.  I believe that women’s lives would not improve under Hillary.  We simply must choose the best person for the job.  I am not saying that Trump is the best choice for us and I know that there are many women in this wonderful nation that would make a better president than Hillary.  We are now faced with two clear options. In many ways there couldn’t be more contrast. It simply gets down to a promise of change from an outsider/businessman, who is outspoken and controversial or the promise of change from someone who has been part of the system, as deep and as involved as possible, for more than 30 years.

Summary:  If Trump loses, it will be due to a lack of discipline.  If Hillary loses, it will be due to a lack of truth and believability.
